Now Tourist Destinations can be Accessible
for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Visitors!

Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc. is excited to present a new solution to assist tourism and entertainment venues in meeting the accessibility needs of their deaf and hard of hearing visitors - CSD GPS Ranger. Too often, venues are surprised when deaf or hard of hearing visitors show up and request accommodations, and are unprepared to address their needs. CSD GPS Ranger will reasonably meet these unexpected requests from these visitors with hearing loss.

Tours meet the needs of deaf or hard of hearing visitors by providing:

• American Sign Language (ASL) Tours
• Captioned Tours

CSD’s partner, BarZ Adventures, provides hardware, software and content development coordination, while CSD uses their expertise to create closed captioned and sign language interpreted video tours. American Sign Language (ASL) video and captioning on the GPS Ranger is an easy way to expand access to a tour while becoming compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
